Limbach – home sweet home –

The small village I grew up in Germany is called Limbach, situated in between Bad Sobernheim, Kirn and Meisenheim.  No wonder that everyone knows everyone when you just have around 300 inhabitants 🙂 And there is not much around, but nature. I love to go there for a walk with or without my dogs.  To calm down after the busy life in the city, it is perfect. People are friendly, greeting each other and are standing on the streets for a short talk- especially in the summertime. Limbach has still a few farmers, people have a garden and everything is quieter than in a city.  On the other hand, there is no supermarket, no pub, not even a bakery. So you really need a car to go somewhere else, especially when a bus drives through just 5 or 6 times a day during the week.  At the weekends there is no public transport at all. But to get the people everything they need, a few transportable supermarkets are coming by once a week. Even a bus from the Sparkasse comes, so you can withdraw money and do your banking stuff because online banking is not safe enough for the older generation 😉

I hope I could give you a little impression of this cute little village. I learned a lot here… for how it is to have thousands of bees in your backyard.

If you go for a little hike around the village you have really nice views – in all seasons.
